Yvonne Borlaug found this mannequin in an Ann Summers shop in Swansea, Wales about a year ago. Yvonne wrote to me; “Her body looks so twisted!”
I couldn’t agree more, just look at the waist. What kind of manufacturer would produce such a mannequin? And why would a retailer use it? No wonder we have twisted body ideals in this world. Ann Summers, you should know better!
A couple of days ago I received photos of pretty mannequins from Norway. The mannequins are on display in the recently opened shop called “Yppig” in Sarpsborg, Norway. Hilde C. Mork runs the boutique and she told me she had to look for a long time to find “plus sized” mannequins.
Good luck with the store Hilde, I hope the mannequins will be appreciated by your customers!
Have you seen any not-so-thin mannequins lately? Let me know!

Two days ago the website “Women You Should Know” wrote an article about me and the mannequins. Great to see the story being shared!
And obviously I am a woman you should know But most importantly, the tale of the famous “fuller-figured” Swedish mannequins is a story you should know and tell others!
